Why do we say Amin after doing a dua (praying) ? What does Amin mean? Christians say a similar word; namely Amen.
Is this only a coincidence? אמן (alef mem nun) Amen or amin, also Aramaic and Ancient Southern Arabic امن (alif mim nun): firm, solid. So, this word already existed in Arabic before the time of the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h.). Rabbul Alamin and Rabbil Alamin actually mean the same thing what makes them different is the pronunciation.
